Hi from AGNTCon + MCPCon
Thanks for stopping by the O’Reilly booth. If you walked away with a bookmark or a signed copy, here’s what I mentioned while we talked.
The book#
AI Agents with MCP covers the protocol end to end. You build a client first, then a server, both in Python, and then test, secure, and ship them. The ebook and the print edition are both out now. Store links are on the book page.
The code#
Every example from the book is in kylestratis/ai_agents_mcp_examples, organized by chapter. It tracks the 2026-07-28 spec and v2 of the Python SDK, so if something in the book has drifted, check the repo.
Keep in touch#
I write The Signal Path, a newsletter about what in AI is worth an engineer’s time. MCP comes up a lot.
I’m also on LinkedIn and Bluesky. If we talked about something I said I’d send you, message me there and remind me.
MCP workshops for your team#
Through Stratis Data Labs I run hands-on MCP workshops for engineering teams, from a one-day session to a multi-part series where your engineers build their own servers against your systems. Here’s the series I ran for Nelnet. If your team is trying to get MCP into production, grab a time on my calendar.
